Adults and teens are stressed balancing work, school or other obligations. Families of young kids run from one activity to the next in pursuit of the good life. All of us are busier than ever, yet we yearn for time to make meaningful relationships. Rejoice's answer to this is Oasis.
OASIS is a place where everyone gathers once a week to find a healthy balance and feed that yearning for more of what matters. It's a time to connect with one another, to eat together and to worship—all on one night.
Come! We have a place for you at OASIS.
OASIS runs on a five-week session basis: We meet on four consecutive Wednesday evenings (see the OASIS Evening Schedule to see what happens each night). During week 5, we all participate in a service project. If you can't make it every week, it's OK! Come when you can.
There's no week 6. We take that week off to regroup for the next OASIS session.
OASIS will have a total of five sessions, each running five weeks long, in 2019-2020. OASIS: Kickoff begins Wednesday, September 18th!
Please pre-register, when possible, to help us plan. If you don't pre-register, you're still welcome to come! Just stop by our table for walk-in registrations.
Come when you can to enjoy a buffet dinner with everyone in Oasis.
Let's worship as one church family, and listen to a short message that will set the tone for the rest of the evening.
Adults leave for small groups offsite; kids move into their groups at the church.
Adults and youth meet in separate small groups as assigned at registration.
Families pick up children at the church.
No matter the age or the stage of life, OASIS desires to provide a place for you and your family. Read bellow to learn more about each available group session.
Programs for OASIS Children; Middle Schoolers & High Schoolers, Preschoolers thru 5th Graders, Babies & Toddlers. Youth stay at the church for age-appropriate lessons based on the same weekly message that the adults follow.
Small groups of adults meet in homes and other sites close to the church. When you register for OASIS, you will be assigned to a group, led by a facilitator who will help you get to know other people—and Christ—more fully.
Week 5 of each five-week session of OASIS is dedicated to service. Sometimes service projects are held in the local area on the same night as OASIS; other times, volunteer opportunities are scheduled on an alternative evening or Saturday. Past projects have included visiting and doing crafts with the elderly residents of GreenFields and participating in the Mill Creek neighborhood clean-up for Earth Day.
These service projects fulfill two main objectives: to do God's work with and for people who need help and to grow closer to one another—and God—as we serve. Service is a natural outcrop of what we're learning in OASIS about being faithful and stepping out with love! Information about each session's service project is shared via e-mail with OASIS registrants and on the church calendar.
