When we Love God, we focus primarily on our relationship with God. When we Love People, we focus primarily on our relationship with God's family. When we Live Changed, we stop focusing entirely on ourselves and instead focus on our relationships with those God has called us to serve. The Christian faith is a journey, and that journey is most soulful and energizing when we walk together in community.
Rejoice is a safe, loving, and inclusive space where we explore what faithfulness looks like in each of our lives and in our church itself. It’s our hope that you will find a place here to grow and help others to grow as well!
God bless you today, and may the peace of the Lord be always with you!
We are the church that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. For us as part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, this faith comes through the good news of Jesus Christ and gives us the freedom and the courage to wonder, discover and boldly participate in what God is up to in the world. Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person — questions, complexities and all.
We believe God calls each of us by name. Christ’s church is not ours to control, nor is it our job to sort, divide, categorize or exclude. Whenever we feel compelled to “draw the line” in our lives, we must acknowledge as Lutherans that Jesus always stands on both sides of that line.
Because we are grounded in God’s love and forgiveness, we are equipped to live and serve here and now, in the world, with all its complexities, tensions and ambiguities. We have the courage to explore the world as saints and sinners, knowing we will never take God somewhere God has not already been.
The “Yes” of Jesus Christ compels and empowers us to be open and accessible within any community, within any context.
We don’t have to do it alone, and we don’t have to do everything. Each of us has a unique story, and we are part of a larger story that makes up the ELCA. We work through our congregations, synods and partners, and the church-wide organization. Together, we achieve things on a scale and scope that we could never do otherwise.
Our weekly Worship at the Table service is celebrated every Wednesday at 6 PM.
First and foremost, our hope is that anyone attending our worship services would feel warmly welcomed! We realize that coming to a new church for the first time can be a bit stressful so we do our best to create a comfortable atmosphere.
Our desire is to create a space where we can connect with God and with each other in a real way.
Whether you’ve never been in church before or you’re a church regular, you can anticipate an encouraging & enlightening experience! Our worship service is contemporary, topical, engaging and meaningful. Worship is centered around the Word and Sacraments, and it is shaped to make connections to our daily lives and to our community.
We celebrate communion at every worship service. You don’t have to be Lutheran and you don’t have to be a member of Rejoice. We invite all who believe in Jesus as our Savior to participate.
Our Rejoice Worship Ensemble (RWE) is backed by guitars, keys, and drums. They lead us in lively and contemporary songs with powerful vocals, unique arrangements and original compositions, creating a true spirit of worship.
As for what to wear, dress however you feel comfortable. Some people dress casually in jeans and some dress up. Just dress your style.
Yes! We love to see kids in the worship, but we also have a staffed nursery for children 3 and under. We will care for them during the worship service.
IGNITE Children is Rejoice’s childrens' ministry for preschoolers through 5th grade and is held during Small Group time (September through May). Kids are welcome to join groups before or after worship, based on family schedule or preference. During dinner worship from 6 - 7 PM, kids are welcome to join their parents in the sanctuary or go downstairs for fun, interactive learning during the sermon! They return in time to celebrate communion with their families.
ALL children – whether they are regular attendees or new to Rejoice – are welcome and invited to all of our children’s ministry programs!
Worshiping and sharing food and drink together are fundamental ways in which we develop bonds and form lasting and meaningful relationships. That's why we launched Worship at the Table in 2022.
However, to really Live Changed we encourage all to join us for Small Groups, a time for real conversation and faith-based discussion. Join a group based on your schedule; groups are available before & after worship from 5 - 6 PM or 7 - 8 PM. Small Groups for all ages are available September through May, with each series consisting of 4 or 5 weeks.
